Who I Am and What I Do
My name is Tanisha Tucker Lohse. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I am a tribal member of the Tohono O'odham Nation. I am a licensed massage therapist and have been in practice for over 10 years.
Every summer I take part in the traditional Ha:sañ bahidaj (saguaro fruit) harvest during Ha:sañ Ba:k Masad (June). This is a tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation, and I was taught by my mom Stella Tucker. I enjoy being able to continue this tradition and teaching it to the next generation of wild food harvesters.
